DRESS CODE

Shining Stars Creative Movement -

- Black or Pink Leotard. Pink or Skin-Tone Tights, and Pink or Skin- Tone Ballet Shoes. No skirts preferred. Hair must be secured out of the face.

Rising Stars & Mini Stars Ballet & Tap -

- Black or Pink Leotard. Pink or Skin-Tone Tights, and Pink or Skin- Tone Ballet Shoes. Tan or Black tap shoes. No skirts preferred. Hair must be secured out of the face.

Rising Stars & Mini Stars Acro -

- Leotard or biketard of choice. Students may wear tight dance shorts or biker shorts over leotard - no sports or Nike shorts allowed. Bare feet. Hair must be secured out of the face.

Mini Stars Contemporary & Jazz -

- Leotard or tight fitting tank top of choice, tight-fitting shorts, jazz capris or leggings. Skin tone jazz shoes for jazz & bare feet for contemporary. Hair must be secured out of the face.

Mini Stars Hip Hop -

- Any dance clothes you are comfortable in and tennis shoes. No jeans allowed. If wearing shorts, please keep an appropriate length. Hair must be secured out of the face.

Ballet (All Levels) -

- Black leotard, full length pink ballet tights & pink split-sole leather or canvas ballet shoes or skin tone tights & skin tone split-sole leather or canvas ballet shoes, hair pulled into a bun, no jewelry, no skirts except when allowed by instructor. Any undergarment must match leotard color. For Male Students -Black or White tank top or tight t-shirt, white or black compression tights with black shorts on top, black or skin tone ballet shoes, no jewelry.

Jazz & Musical Theatre & Tap (All Levels) -

- Any color leotard or tight fitting dance top, dance shorts or leggings, and skin tone jazz shoes. Shorts must be tight fitting & not sports shorts such as Nike shorts, no jewelry, and hair secured away from the face. Black tap shoes for tap.

Contemporary (All Levels) - 

- Any color leotard or tight fitting dance top, dance shorts or leggings, and no shoes. No sports shorts such as Nike shorts. No jewelry and hair must be secured away from the face.

Hip Hop (All Levels) -

- Any comfortable clothing of your choice and tennis shoes. No bare feet allowed. Please be mindful of the length of your shorts & no jeans allowed. No jewelry & hair must be secured away from the face. Hats worn if appropriate.

Acro - (All Levels)

- Any color leotard or biketard that has optimum full stomach & back coverage for safety of spotting. You can wear shorts over your leo if wanted, but must be tight fitting such as biker shorts. No jewelry or long nails allowed & hair must be pulled off the neck and out of the face. No shoes.
