Kaiya Denise King, 22, is a Montgomery, Alabama native who began dancing at the age of six.

She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from Alabama State University in May 2025 and will return in spring 2026 to pursue a Master’s in Business. With a deep passion for movement and performance, Kaiya strives to inspire her students through both strong technique and creative expression.

Kaiya trained for eight years at Alabama Dance Theatre under the late Kitty Seale, where she was an Apprentice and Junior Company member. She now continues her connection to the company as a substitute dance instructor and served as a guest instructor at ADT’s Community Day in 2023. Following ADT, she studied at Baldwin Magnet and Booker T. Washington Magnet High School, later becoming a Senior Company member at the Symphony Q Academy of Dance. In high school, she had the honor of training under the late Kavin Grant, becoming the youngest dancer to attend his Winter Intensive in Atlanta. She furthered her training at the Complexions Contemporary Ballet Academy Summer Intensive in 2020 and took master classes with renowned choreographers Anthony Burrell and Cleo Parker Robinson.

As a performer, Kaiya appeared in The Wiz and Dreamgirls at Alabama State University Theatre Department, showcasing her versatility as both a dancer and ensemble artist. Her teaching experience also includes serving as an instructor at Paradise Pointe Intensive and Young Meadows Bible Camp, in addition to her ongoing work with ADT.

Her long-term dream is to open a nonprofit dance studio that provides opportunities for dancers of all backgrounds.

Beyond the studio, Kaiya is a multi-talented creative. She enjoys writing, makeup artistry, photo editing, and content creation. In everything she does, Kaiya brings a unique blend of artistry, originality, and attention to detail!
