Krysta Thompson

Krysta Thompson has been in the dance industry all of her life. She started dancing at the age of two and never looked back. She holds many awards and accolades for her choreography and teaching styles. Krysta brings a structured but fun style to her teaching.  She has been an assistant teacher since the age of 11 and a stand alone dance instructor since she was 14 years old under the direction of Tracy Solomon at The Dothan School of Dance. She has over 20 years experience as a dance instructor. Most recently she served as the Junior Performance Team Director at Dothan School of Dance.

Some of her awards include Miss Dance of Dance Masters Chapter 33, NYCDA outstanding dancer, and most recently her junior dancers won Battle of the Stars at Hollywood Vibe Nationals in 2019.

Krysta has also been a member of the Southeast Alabama Dance Company from 1998-2003 where she performed numerous roles in the classic ballet The Nutcracker, and her favorite role was playing the lead of Esmerelda in The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

She also holds a BSE in Secondary English Language Arts, and was named Troy University’s English Student of the year in 2008.
